The latest project I have worked on was for Michelin Lifestyle and required the management of several different stakeholders from across the globe. Working closely with all these stakeholders I devised a web-based, multi-user content management system that allowed all users to add their inventory to a central system, allowing not only the website to be built from a central source but allowed many other business tools to be realised – including a recently completed multi-lingual on demand brochure builder.

Through the life-cycle of the Lesniak Swann team we have gone through several mergers that have impacted the team; either directly – when we merged with local web development company ‘Cyberzia’ – or indirectly – a merger with marketing company ‘ABB’. This has meant the team has gone through significant transitions and I have been key in smoothly accommodating logistical and personal issues into the organisation and also identifying and integrating other systems and process where they have proved beneficial.

Working closely with Directors I have analysed, reported and built strategy to improve financial performance of my department. I was key in not only devising but implementing plans to improve and measure financial efficiencies for web builds of all sizes. The plan we devised and implemented improved recovery to over 90% for web projects.

Been involved in all aspects of the sales process from quotations and tenders to handling pitch meetings. I have an extremely high success rate in winning business and converting won business into profitable relationships. In a rapidly developing, relatively young industry it is important to identify and assess new trends. A team of IT professionals will always be looking for the next technology trends and I have been key in assessing and identifying which of these trends will prove useful to the business; without compromising the service we offer to clients. I have established processes and standards to ensure innovation is always balanced with a quality service for our clients. For example we introduced the GIT system for version control along with a standard development platform that all developers in the team now employ. We are also currently evaluating and comparing PHP frameworks with a view to further standardise development processes.

Use excellent written communication skills to clearly and concisely compose technical and management documentation for all purposes. Most recently compiled a comprehensive suite of documentation including both management and technical documents for a new web site for Michelin lifestyle which is being used as the core project documentation by the entire project team.
Built Online Application System for Education Sector.
Client : eEnrol / Stoke on Trent College Role : Lead Programmer / Project manager Year : 2010 – Present
After identifying weaknesses in existing online enrolment software on the market I worked closely with Stoke on Trent College to design and implement our own system that addressed these compromises. The system now runs as a standalone product that allows educational establishments to add sophisticated eCommerce techniques to their online enrolment offerings. Not only did I devise and implement the system I act as project manager when new clients sign up.

Client : Portmeirion Potteries Ltd Role : Lead Programmer / Project manager Year : 2010 – Present
Designed, integrated and managed the build and ongoing performance of a bespoke eCommerce platform for Portmeirion Potteries. This project illustrated the value of a thorough understanding of the client’s business requirements and letting technology work for the solution rather than as a compromise. The platform went on to form the basis of an eCommerce platform used by many businesses and also cemented a long-lasting and fruitful relationship with clients who use the platform.
Develop Security / Privacy Procedures.

Looking after many web sites on behalf of our clients on a ‘around the clock’ basis has demonstrated how important it is to have a strategy not only to protect sites from the constant attacks but to have policies on how to handle any security issues that may arise. I have years of experience in implementing best practice techniques to minimise, and respond to, privacy and security issues.

Working closely with external suppliers analysed and planned new strategy for hosting. Struck deal with Rackspace and formulated new pricing plan to increase margin on web site hosting. Also have experience in sourcing and managing external freelance developers.
